About Us

Wabi-sabi is a Japanese aesthetic that finds beauty in imperfection, impermanence, and incompleteness. In design, this style emphasizes natural materials, earthy and muted colors, and a sense of simplicity that celebrates the marks of age and wear, rather than seeking flawless, shiny, newness. It is a philosophy of restraint and simplicity that creates a serene and mindful atmosphere by appreciating the beauty of objects that are modest, humble, and unconventional.

The Wabi Sabi Art Studio is a community-based page for Painting, Poetry, Writing and Taoist interests. Our leadership has worked with the Wyoming Valley Poetry Society for 26 years as Director of the Spring Student Poetry contest.
